Create New Chemistry

  • Bitterfeld-Wolfen & Online Germany (map)

The chemical industry is one of Germany's most important industries. It is worth 225 billion, but it needs an update, new ideas, and new startups! Create New Chemistry is a transformative innovation initiative that aims to position Central Germany, notably the Bitterfeld-Wolfen region, as Europe’s leading hub for Circular Carbon Technologies.

Rooted in a profound industrial legacy and supported by a strong regional ecosystem of chemical parks, research institutions, and policy actors, this initiative accelerates startup creation and scale-up in fields like carbon capture & utilization (CCU), carbon-to-value (C2V), circular chemistry, and sustainable materials.

The programme is right for you if you want to start a business that works on closing the carbon cycle and driving the transition beyond fossil-based industries. It does not matter if you do not have a business idea ready. Our experts will provide real-world challenges from the industry for you to work on during the program; if they work for you, you can build a startup based on the challenge.

Create New Chemistry is a free program that takes you from early-stage concept to real-world impact by starting a business with expert guidance, hands-on tools, and a strong community of innovators. Some sessions will be held online, and others will take place on-site.

Apply to the program if you are:
